Valencia Basket begins in the Fonteta the difficult road towards its 7th semifinal

Valencia Basket opens its participation in the Endesa League Playoffs hosting Herbalife Gran Canaria at Fonteta in the quarterfinals game 1 (Monday 28, 20: 30h, Fonteta, Movistar Deportes 1). After finishing in fourth place in the Regular Season, the taronja squad will have the home-court advantage to seek for the goal of getting into the seventh semifinal of its history in the Endesa League, which would be the fifth in a row and the sixth in seven seasons .

 

For this, the taronja squad will have the participation of the two players who were out last Thursday in Andorra, Bojan Dubljevic and Erick Green, recovered from their discomfort and may be available for this first game of the series. The injured Pleiss, Williams and Diot will not be able to participate in any of the playoff series.

 

Captain Rafa Martinez, who will available for this game despite the problems he had in his right knee, will receive in the minutes prior to the start of the game the award that credits him as the winner of the 2017-18 Effort Trophy. There are no precedents of clashes between these two teams in the Playoffs, although it will be the fourth time that orange and yellow face each other in the current season, with a favorable balance for the Vidorreta’s men (2-1).
